About Me

Elizabeth Abraham proudly serves as the at-large Council representative for Place 1 and Mayor Pro Tem. First elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2022, her current term runs through May 2025. Elizabeth is thrilled to announce her candidacy to run for re-election for Place 1 in 2025. 

Elizabeth's service to the City of Murphy is extensive and impactful. She has previously served on the City's Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Adjustment and is currently a member of the Murphy Branding Committee. She completed the Murphy Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification program in 2023.

Her commitment to volunteerism extends beyond city duties, making a significant difference in Murphy and surrounding communities. Her volunteer roles include Sunday School Teacher, Deputy Voter Registrar for Collin County, participation in the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child, Minnie's Food Pantry, Habitat for Humanity of Collin County, North Texas Food Bank, and Feed My Starving Children.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University, with a major in Real Estate and Finance. She is a registered Real Estate Broker in Texas. In her professional life, Elizabeth works as a Sales Operations Manager for a global company. Her diverse career background includes roles in finance, banking, and real estate within both public and private sectors.

Elizabeth is also dedicated to her family. She is married with two children, and they have called Murphy home since 2012.
